Through this approach, you can encorporate oracy and language skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing and debate and discussion through the rich context provided by each novel. Engage your children with interactive and collaborative approaches designed to give your children a deep understanding of character development, theme, setting and literary techniques, running alongside non-fiction texts that draw upon their deep understanding of the text.
I can happily make suggestions for novels for each year group, ensuring that diverse voices and stories are included, or we can combine novels you currently use with this approach.
Planning workshops
My Planning Workshops can be tailored to meet your needs; they are designed to assist both new and experienced teachers in creating effective, engaging and comprehensive plans. Whether staff are ECTs just starting out or more experienced staff looking to refine their approach to planning, my support ensures your staff are well-prepared to inspire and educate the children that they teach. Planning workshops can be done on a 1:1 basis, with teaching teams or wider staff groups, depending on your needs.
